Трубите о мијени у трубу, о уштапу ради празника нашега.

Blow the trumpet at the time of the New Moon, At the full moon, on our solemn feast day.

Јер је таки закон у Израиља, наредба од Бога Јаковљева.

For this is a statute for Israel, And a law of the God of Jacob.

Слушај, народе мој, и засвједочићу ти, Израиљу, о кад би ме послушао:

"Hear, O My people, and I will admonish you! O Israel, if you will listen to Me!

Да не буде у тебе туђега Бога, и Богу страноме немој се клањати.

There shall be no foreign god among you; Nor shall you worship any foreign god.

Ја сам Господ, Бог твој, који сам те извео из земље Мисирске; отвори уста своја, и ја ћу их напунити.

I am the LORD your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.

Али не послуша народ мој гласа мојега, Израиљ не мари за ме.

"But My people would not heed My voice, And Israel would have none of Me.

И ја их пустих на вољу срца њихова, нека ходе по својим мислима.

So I gave them over to their own stubborn heart, To walk in their own counsels.

О кад би народ мој слушао мене, и синови Израиљеви ходили путовима мојим!

"Oh, that My people would listen to Me, That Israel would walk in My ways!

Брзо бих покорио непријатеље њихове, и на противнике њихове дигао бих руку своју;

I would soon subdue their enemies, And turn My hand against their adversaries.

Који мрзе на Господа, били би им покорни, и добри дани њихови били би довијека;

The haters of the LORD would pretend submission to Him, But their fate would endure forever.

Најбољом би пшеницом хранио њих, и медом бих из камена ситио их."

He would have fed them also with the finest of wheat; And with honey from the rock I would have satisfied you."
