Псалам 1
Благо човјеку који не иде на вијеће безбожничко, и на путу грјешничком не стоји, и у друштву неваљалијех људи не сједи,
Blessed is the man Who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, Nor sits in the seat of the scornful;
Него му је омилио закон Господњи и о закону његову мисли дан и ноћ!
But his delight is in the law of the LORD, And in His law he meditates day and night.
Он је као дрво усађено крај потока, које род свој доноси у своје вријеме, и којему лист не вене: што год ради, у свему напредује.
He shall be like a tree Planted by the rivers of water, That brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; And whatever he does shall prosper.
Нијесу таки безбожници, него су као прах који расипа вјетар.
The ungodly are not so, But are like the chaff which the wind drives away.
Зато се неће безбожници одржати на суду, ни грјешници на збору праведничком.
Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, Nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
Јер Господ зна пут праведнички; а пут безбожнички пропашће.
For the LORD knows the way of the righteous, But the way of the ungodly shall perish.
